چکیده

In this study, we compared the effect of commercial NiO, synthesis NiAl-HT and NiO-HT drived from hydrotalcite in Knoevenagel condensation reaction. The sample was synthesized by coprecipitation method with a molar ratio M2+/M3+ = 2 at constant basic pH. X-ray Diffraction (XRD) Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) were utilized to identify crystalline phases present NiAl-HT, NiO. chemical composition obtained solids determined Atomic Absorption (AAS). Other techniques, such as Thermogravimetric Thermal Analyzer (TGA), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) Brunauere Emmette Teller Method (BET) also used. As well BET showed increase specific surface for solid NiO-HT. performance catalysts studied benzaldehyde ethyl acetoacetate without solvent organic compounds intermediates dihydropyridines derivatives. influence different parameters, catalyst amount, reaction temperature time optimized activity, selectivity stability solids. Catalytic activity its lowest presence (26% conversion) whereas conversion increased 77% case which can be explained sites oxides, high area small crystallite size. Therefore, lower noticed using NiO (84%), perhaps owing purity. A mechanism is proposed density functional (DFT). Copyright © 2023 Authors, Published BCREC Group. Room temperature NO2 sensing: what advantage does the rGO-NiO nanocomposite have over pristine NiO?

In recent years, there has been increasing interest in synthesis of reduced graphene oxide (rGO)-metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) nanocomposites for room temperature gas sensing applications. Generally, the sensitivity of a MOS can be obviously enhanced by the incorporation of rGO. However, a lack of knowledge regarding how rGO can enhance gas-sensing performances of MOSs impedes its sensing app...

First principles exploration of NiO and its ions NiO+ and NiO-.

We present a high level ab initio study of NiO and its ions, NiO(+) and NiO(-). Employing variational multireference configuration interaction (MRCI) and single reference coupled-cluster methods combined with basis sets of quintuple quality, 54, 20, and 10 bound states of NiO, NiO(+), and NiO(-) have been studied. For all these states, complete potential energy curves have been constructed at t...

Effects of NiO nanoparticles on the magnetic properties and diffuse phase transition of BZT/NiO composites

A new composite system, Ba(Zr0.07Ti0.93)O3 (BZT93) ceramic/NiO nanoparticles, was fabricated to investigate the effect of NiO nanoparticles on the properties of these composites. M-H hysteresis loops showed an improvement in the magnetic behavior for higher NiO content samples plus modified ferroelectric properties. However, the 1 vol.% samples showed the optimum ferroelectric and ferromagnetic...

Base-free Knoevenagel condensation catalyzed by copper metal surfaces.

For the first time Knoevenagel condensation has been catalyzed by elemental copper with unexpected activity and excellent isolated yields. Inexpensive, widely available copper powder was used to catalyze the condensation of cyanoacetate and benzaldehyde under mild conditions. To ensure general applicability, a wide variety of different substrates was successfully reacted.

LDA + DMFT Investigation of NiO

Introduction 1 INTRODUCTION From a microscopic ab-initio point of view, a solid material is an interacting many-particle system involving both ions and electrons. However, according to the Born-Oppenheimer approximation (Born and Oppenheimer, 1927), the ions and electrons can be treated separately. Indeed, many properties of solids can be well described by the electronic degree of freedom, whil...
